TERMS OF SERVICE

Please read these Terms of Service ('Terms') carefully before using StreetIntel ('we', 'us', 'our'). By accessing or purchasing from https://streetintel.co.uk you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. SERVICE DESCRIPTION

StreetIntel is a UK neighbourhood intelligence platform. Users enter a UK postcode and receive a report aggregating publicly available data — including crime statistics, house prices, flood risk, energy efficiency ratings, employment figures, amenities, and an AI-generated area summary.

Some features are available free of charge. Full reports and comparison features require a one-off payment. StreetIntel is an information service only. We are not a financial advisor, surveyor, estate agent, or legal advisor. Nothing on this platform constitutes financial, legal, mortgage, or professional advice.

2. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing the Service you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

3. DATA ACCURACY & DISCLAIMER

StreetIntel aggregates data from third-party open government sources including:

data.police.uk (crime statistics)
HM Land Registry (house prices)
DLUHC EPC Register (energy performance)
ONS NOMIS (employment and demographics)
NHS ODS and OpenPrescribing (GP data)
Environment Agency (flood risk)
Valuation Office Agency (council tax)
OpenStreetMap contributors (amenities)
Other sources operating under the Open Government Licence v3.0

While we endeavour to present accurate and current information, we make no warranties — express or implied — regarding the completeness, accuracy, timeliness, or fitness for purpose of any data. Data may lag behind real-world conditions. You should independently verify any information before making property, financial, or other significant decisions.

Reports may contain errors, omissions, stale data, or AI-generated wording. Do not rely on them as a substitute for professional advice or primary source verification.

4. PAYMENTS & REFUND POLICY

Paid reports are processed securely via Stripe. By completing a purchase you authorise the charge for the selected tier:

Single Report — £2.99 (one-off, valid for 48 hours)
Compare Up to 5 Areas — £9.99 (one-off, valid for 7 days)

Right to cancel. Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel a digital content purchase. However, by completing checkout you expressly consent to immediate supply of the digital content and acknowledge that your right to cancel is lost once the report has been generated and delivered to you.

Refunds. We will issue a full refund if your report fails to generate and is not delivered. We do not issue refunds for reports where data is partially unavailable or incomplete. Each report displays a data coverage percentage before purchase — if data is unavailable for a particular source in your chosen area, this will be visible to you before you pay. Purchasing with knowledge of incomplete data coverage does not constitute grounds for a refund.

To request a refund for a failed report, contact support@streetintel.co.uk within 7 days of purchase with your order reference.

5. ACCEPTABLE USE

You may use StreetIntel for personal, non-commercial research only. You must not:

Scrape, crawl, or programmatically extract data from the platform
Reproduce or redistribute report content commercially without written permission
Attempt to circumvent paywalls, token validation, or other technical access controls
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that breaches applicable law
Misrepresent StreetIntel data as professional advice

We reserve the right to suspend access for any user found to be in breach of these terms.

6. REPORT ACCESS & EXPIRY

Following a successful purchase, a secure download link is sent to the email address provided at checkout. Single report links expire after 48 hours; comparison report links expire after 7 days. After expiry the link becomes cryptographically invalid and can no longer be used to access your report.

It is your responsibility to download and save your report before the link expires. We do not store completed reports on our servers after delivery. We are unable to reissue expired links.

7. AI-GENERATED CONTENT

Area summaries, trend scores, and comparison rankings are generated by an AI language model operated by Anthropic. AI output is based solely on the structured data passed to it from the sources listed in Section 3. AI content:

Is provided for general guidance only
May contain inaccuracies or omissions
Is not a substitute for professional advice or your own independent research
Does not constitute a recommendation to buy, rent, or invest in any property

Score dimensions (safety, value, amenities, etc.) are not shown where underlying data is unavailable for the chosen area.

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Third-party data reproduced in reports is sourced under the Open Government Licence v3.0 and contains public sector information. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL). Air quality data is provided by Open-Meteo under CC BY 4.0.

You may print or save your report for personal use. You may not resell, republish, or commercially exploit report content.

9. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Reports and pages may include links to third-party websites (e.g. Ofsted, Rightmove, Parliament, gov.uk). These are provided for convenience only. We have no control over third-party content and accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of those sites. Linking does not imply endorsement.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, StreetIntel shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from:

Reliance on any information provided by the Service
Any property, financial, or investment decision made using our reports
Unavailability of data for a given area or postcode
Temporary unavailability of the Service
Errors or omissions in third-party data sources

Where liability cannot be excluded by law (e.g. for death or personal injury caused by our negligence), it is not excluded.

11. PRIVACY

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

12. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
